God’s Wisdom: Devotion For March 28, 2012

God’s Wisdom

Text: Deut. 7:22 – The Lord your God will drive out those nations before you, little by little. You will not be allowed to eliminate them all at once, or the wild animals will multiply around you (New International Version).

God is full of wisdom and whosoever want to possess wisdom should go to God. No wonder the Bible says "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding” (Proverbs 9:10 – New King James Version). God’s thought is always at variance with that of man (Jeremiah 29:11). In same

way His wisdom is by far greater than what we can understand. God was sending the Israelites to posses the Promised Land. Because He is the Omnipotent and Omnipresence God, He has seen everything in the land. He knows the land is vast and when He drives away all the inhabitants at a time those wild animals will become a treat to them, hence this promise.

In that thing which you are expecting from God, you need to know the mind of God about it.

He has a reason for the delay. There is a reason why He has not done that thing for you. Have you ever wondered why God has not granted your desire to have that house, car, job, admission, etc, now? He may give it to you and you turn your back against Him and end up in hell fire. You may have it now and it becomes a snare/stumbling block to your faith and salvation. No, wonder the prayer in Proverbs 30:8. Please my dear, do not rush God for He knows what He is doing. However, be assure it will come at the right time if it is what will glorify God.

Food For Thought: Can you run faster than your shadow?

Prayer Points:
1) Thank God for the promise our text
2) Ask against all demons, powers and authority domineering on your possessions.
3) Ask for patience to wait for your possessions.
